Job summary

The Finish Line USA, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, overseeing accurate, timely financial reporting and core accounting activities in Indianapolis.

You will partner across Finance to analyze results, reserves, trends, and key matters, while driving process improvements and preparing for audits. With 5+ years in accounting and 3+ years in leadership, you will establish strong internal controls, support business decisions, and develop staff

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
5+ years in accounting with 3+ years in management.
Public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, setting priorities and expectations.
Review accounting work, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting docs.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reconciliations of asset/liability accounts.
Monitor reserves and perform true-ups for accurate reporting.
Partner with Finance and other departments for budget-to-actual reporting.
Lead interim and year-end audit activities with internal/external auditors.
Identify process improvements and drive reporting efficiencies.
Provide training, coaching, and career development for team members.
