Job summary

The Finish Line, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks an Accounting Manager to lead a team of Senior and Staff Accountants, driving accurate financial reporting and strengthening internal controls.

You will partner with Finance and other departments to analyze results, manage audits, improve processes, and support budget-to-actual reporting, with a focus on timely deliverables and career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in accounting.
• 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Senior and Staff Accountants.
• Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met with accuracy and quality.
• Provide training, coaching, and career development opportunities.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial statements and analyses of asset/liability accounts.
• Analyze reserves and perform true-ups for accurate reporting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and financial reporting issues.
• Collaborate with Finance for budgeting and monthly reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and implement process improvements.
