Job summary

Insomnia Cookies, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager – Bakeries/4-Wall to own bakery-level accounting across locations, overseeing COGS, labor, utilities and waste, and partnering with operations, finance, and project teams to drive financial discipline.

This role will lead the multi-unit month-end close, manage inventory and variances, and guide journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate general ledger reporting as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with Workday ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive process, systems, and scalability improvements for bakery growth.
• Own bakery/4-wall accounting for each location with variance explanations.
• Manage inventory, COGS, shrink/waste, and margin analysis.
• Oversee bakery labor accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Account for utilities, waste, and other operating costs with accruals.
• Lead multi-unit month-end close across locations.
• Prepare and review journal entries and GL reconciliations per US GAAP.
