Job summary

5812 Investment Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to supervise accounts payable and utility accounting staff, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate monthly close. The role partners with Controllers and regional teams to maintain internal controls and efficient reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, including supervising staff and accounts payable.
• Experience in residential property management is preferred but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Must be project oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, oral and written, and analytical abilities.
• Effective planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage workloads.
• Commitment to diversity and knowledge of EEO and Fair Housing Act.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor Accounts Payable and utility accounting staff.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in invoice automation and utility tracking.
• Oversee full cycle AP process including check runs and utility billing reconciliation.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting with internal controls.
