Job summary

New Talent is seeking a Financial Accountant in the Augusta, GA area to join a growing, multinational company building an evolving accounting team. The role offers high exposure to leadership and opportunities to implement AI-driven processes while advancing into an accounting leadership track.

The perfect candidate has 2+ years of experience, solid U.S. GAAP knowledge, and a proactive mindset to grow with the company’s roadmap.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Comfortable learning new technologies, including AI tools.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• CPA or in progress is preferred but not a deal breaker.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the month-end close process.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage Construction-in-Progress (CIP) and Fixed Asset accounting.
• Account for leases, right-of-use assets, and intangible assets.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with financial statement footnotes and technical accounting.
• Support external audits and annual tax reporting.
• Partner with leadership on process improvements and special projects.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and reporting.
