Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking an Accounting Manager in West Palm Beach, FL, hybrid work arrangement to lead consolidation and the monthly close for a growing, publicly traded organization. You will oversee intercompany accounting, consolidations and related reporting, and manage a two-person finance team.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operating companies, reviewing journal entries, supporting the SAP S/4HANA implementation and potential acquisitions, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting or a combination of public and industry preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; consolidations, intercompany and close experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and review the work of a team of two accounting professionals.
• Partner with operating companies on the timely submission of monthly financial results, serving as the main point of contact for questions and issue resolution.
• Review and post adjusting journal entries.
• Review and compile the month-end close binder and supporting documentation, including accounting memos, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and controls.
• Manage annual goodwill impairment testing, including evaluation of market conditions and coordination with operating companies on projections.
• Assist with accounting for business combinations, including purchase price allocations and valuation of intangible assets.
• Research technical accounting guidance and prepare memos documenting GAAP conclusions.
• Identify and execute process improvement projects.
• Support the SAP S/4HANA implementation and internal control initiatives.
• Assist with due diligence on potential acquisitions and other special projects.

Overview

A publicly traded, acquisitive organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead its consolidation and financial close processes. This role oversees intercompany accounting, consolidations and related reporting, manages a team of two, and partners with operating companies and cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting matters. The company is in the middle of an SAP S/4HANA implementation, has more acquisitions planned, and is significantly growing its West Palm Beach finance team, which creates real visibility and room for growth.

Compensation

$130,000 to $150,000 base plus 12.5% annual bonus target, with a full benefits package including 401(k) match, employee stock purchase plan and education reimbursement.
