Comp: $120,000 to $150,000 DOE

Overview
We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to help lead day-to-day accounting for a growing, PE-backed electronics manufacturing business. Reporting to the Controller, this person will own the close process, oversee general ledger activity, support cost and inventory accounting, and manage a small accounting team. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who is comfortable reviewing the work, developing the team, and jumping into the details when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Oversee general ledger activity and ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial records
- Manage and develop accounting staff while reviewing transactional and close-related work
- Support manufacturing accounting across inventory, standard costing, COGS, overhead, labor, and manufacturing variances
- Partner with operations and cost accounting to improve product costing and inventory accuracy
- Strengthen controls and processes across purchasing, receiving, inventory, AP, AR, and three‑way matching
- Support financial reporting, audits, cash activity, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other core accounting functions
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve accounting workflows
- Help optimize NetSuite and strengthen accounting infrastructure as the business scales
- Partner closely with the Controller on special projects and broader accounting initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar level
- Hands‑on knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, standard costs, COGS, overhead allocation, and manufacturing variances
- Proven experience owning or leading the month‑end close process
- Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Prior experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial data
- ERP experience required; NetSuite is strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where priorities can shift
