Job summary

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Oversee manufacturing and inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, WIP, and inventory valuation.
• Supervise and develop accounting team; conduct performance evaluations.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets.
• Partner with operations and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and sponsor reporting.

FULL DESCRIPTION:

We are looking to add an Accounting Manager with strong manufacturing accounting experience to join the Finance & Accounting team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations and close process, overseeing manufacturing and inventory accounting, and supervising and developing the accounting team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, maintains a strong internal control environment, and partners cross-functionally to support the financial health of the business.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee manufacturing and inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, work-in-process, and inventory valuation.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, assigning work, setting priorities, reviewing output, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Partner with operations and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and margin and cost analysis, and support the Corporate Controller with reporting and analysis.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory or sponsor reporting by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will also possess:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience owning the month-end close and financial reporting.
• Manufacturing accounting experience, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with Finance/ERP systems – i.e. NetSuite and QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or high-reliability electronics environment.
• Experience in a private-equity-owned or multi-entity organization.
• Experience with ERP implementations or process improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000/year
