Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting Manager for a mission-driven nonprofit organization located in Northeast Portland, Oregon. This is a 3-4 month contract opportunity working approximately 32 hours per week and offering $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience. Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on accounting professional who can step in quickly and provide reliable support across the organization’s accounting and financial operations. The organization prefers someone who can work onsite, although some hybrid flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
The Accounting Manager will play an important role in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations during the contract period. This individual will support day-to-day accounting, general ledger activity, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, grant accounting, and other financial priorities. The ideal candidate brings a strong nonprofit accounting foundation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly become familiar with an organization’s existing accounting processes and systems. Experience with MIP Abila is a strong plus.
