Vaco is hiring an Accounting Manager

Location: Pompano Beach, FL

Compensation: $100-$110/annually

Overview

Direct financial activities, such as planning, procurement, and investments for all or part of an organization. Responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The position is also responsible for cash management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 5-7 years of Experience
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
Basic Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business processes within the marine, military, and RV segments including industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
  • Monitor financial activities and details daily, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
  • Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements per company policies and procedures.
  • Collect payments for goods and services. Post Activity in Accounting System.
  • Prepare and complete financial documents, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, cash flow reports, annual budgets, or reports required by management or regulatory agencies promptly. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Provide financial analysis, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing, performing activities defined in the "Globe Monthly Process" checklist.
  • Maintain accounting systems to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of accounting company transactions are performed within the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintain Inventory records and analyse variations in margins. Calculate the cost of goods ensuring that land costs are calculated accurately.
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure that accounts payables are paid promptly and that required debit payments are made on time.
  • Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly.
  • Ensure daily bank reconciliations are completed
  • Oversee the extension of credit to customers.
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Maintain chart of accounts and Assets
  • Process monthly journal entries
  • Audit monthly statements
  • Support Management with special projects
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and controls over accounting transactions
  • Process monthly sales tax
  • Prepare and process year end 1099 forms
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
  • Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
  • Maintain all accounting transactions and reconciliations for Fischer Panda USA Holdings, Inc. and VTGAT Properties.
  • Manage Fischer Panda Generators GmbH Account, ensuring pricing is accurate and updating sales pricing per established pricing calculations
  • Negotiate sales or lease agreements for products or services.
