Job summary

LHH and a Real Estate Development and Investment firm in New York, NY are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations and the close process. You will oversee GL activity, treasury, A/P, A/R, and cash, ensuring timely, accurate financial results.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in real estate GL, 1+ year of leadership, and strong Excel skills; CPA is a plus. This role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive General Ledger Accounting in Real Estate.
• 1+ years of direct leadership experience.
• Knowledge of multi-entity, intercompany, and consolidated accounting environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash activity.
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and other ad hoc financial projects
