Job summary

Perforce Software is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a growing accounting team during a period of rapid expansion. The role involves overseeing the global monthly close, NetSuite general ledger maintenance, and integrating domestic and international acquisitions, working with Finance leadership to meet company goals.

The position requires 5+ years in accounting, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• Experience operating with a major accounting system (NetSuite/Oracle/SAP).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team and encourage continuous improvement.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entry preparation/review for assets, debt, software capitalization, payroll, and close functions.
• Ensure account reconciliations are completed timely and reviewed for accuracy.
• Apply technical research to accounting conclusions to support transactions and document conclusions.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, and strengthen controls.

Position Summary:

Perforce Software is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team through a period of rapid growth and international expansion. Specific areas of responsibility will include managing the global monthly close process, maintaining the NetSuite general ledger system, integrating domestic and international acquisitions, and other general accounting functions. This position will work closely with the Controller and the Vice President of Finance as well as other senior management to meet department and company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team and encourage an attitude of continuous improvement in their day-to-day activities.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entry preparation/review related to variety of areas: fixed assets, debt, software capitalization, payroll, employee stock, accounts receivable, cash, and other close-related functions.
• Ensure account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
• Apply technical research to accounting conclusions on an ad hoc basis to evaluate the application of US GAAP to support transactions and document accounting conclusions.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new accounting guidance in an increasingly complex international business environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively with people outside of the accounting function.
• Operational experience with a major accounting system (such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP etc.)
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong people management and mentoring skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA certification preferred
• Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes preferred

Level 1: Basic AI User (Foundation) Uses approved AI tools to support daily work, writes basic prompts, and reviews outputs for accuracy while following security, privacy, and Responsible AI guidelines.
