Job summary

CFS is partnering with a Madison-area company seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a finance team and drive accurate reporting. This role focuses on integrity, strong controls, and collaboration with project managers to deliver timely financial insight.

You will oversee a 6-person accounting team, manage month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries, and support audits. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance is preferred, with MBA/CPA welcomed; construction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Leading a team of accountants and supporting staff.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Ability to perform reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience with audits and compliance.
• Ability to produce cost and project analytics.

Responsibilities Of The Accounting Manager

• Manage and lead your team of 6 direct reports
• Assist with Month-end close
• Preform account/bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with annual audit requests
• Understand, create, and produce job cost/analysis reports as requested by Project Manager

Qualifications For The Accounting Manager

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance preferred; MBA or CPA welcomed
• 5-7+ Years of experience
• Construction experience; will consider all industries
• Ability to identify process improvements and make changes

Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
