Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager for a hybrid role near Lakewood, Ohio. You will lead the accounting team, manage month-end close, and partner with finance leadership to improve processes and internal controls.

This senior position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, and at least 3 years in people management. CPA is a plus; the opportunity offers a strong career path and a collaborative, high-visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of direct people management and team development experience.
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
• Strong general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
• Review financial statements, investigate variances, and provide meaningful analysis to leadership.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members; manage workload, priorities, and performance.
• Develop, document, and implement accounting SOPs, policies, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and other financial planning activities.

Key Responsibilities (Accounting Manager):

• Develop, document, and implement accounting SOPs, policies, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, reduce manual work, and strengthen financial controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and other financial planning activities

Preferred Qualifications (Accounting Manager):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years of direct people management and team development experience
• Strong general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit experience
• Demonstrated experience developing or improving SOPs, internal controls, and accounting processes
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or finance transformation initiatives
• Experience working within a growing, complex, or multi-location organization preferred
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is a plus
