Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 3–4+ years Big 4 with SEC-registered clients or 4–6 years in public accounting/industry.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Inventory accounting experience preferred.
• Hands-on, team-oriented environment with mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEC and external financial reporting, including 10-Q/10-K.
• Research and document technical accounting matters under US GAAP.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Partner with external auditors and manage audit requests.
• Evaluate new accounting standards and their impact.
• Oversee and mentor 1–2 accounting team members.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and operations.

About the Opportunity

The company has experienced significant growth and is investing heavily in its Exton, PA manufacturing operation, including additional capacity to support continued expansion and acquisitions.

This is an opportunity to join a small corporate accounting team during a period of increased sophistication and growth. The new CFO is building out the organization and looking for someone who can take ownership of SEC/financial reporting while helping develop the accounting function.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and oversee SEC and external financial reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Partner with external auditors and manage audit requests and technical accounting matters
• Evaluate new accounting standards and their impact on the business
• Oversee and mentor 1–2 accounting team members
• Work cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other members of the corporate team
• Take on increasing responsibility as the organization continues to grow

The Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA strongly preferred
• 3–4+ years of Big 4 experience with SEC-registered clients, or approximately 4–6 years of combined public accounting and industry experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
• Inventory accounting experience is highly preferred
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others
