About the Accounting Manager position:

As our multifamily portfolio continues to grow, we're adding an Accounting Manager to strengthen our accounting team and build additional bench strength alongside our Controller. This is a newly created role designed to support a scaling organization — helping drive a smooth, accurate month-end close, stronger reporting and analytics, and more standardized processes across a growing number of properties. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller and accounting staff, and will play a key role in process improvement and technology adoption as the company expands.

  • Support the Controller in driving a timely, accurate month-end and year-end close across property-level and corporate entities, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting package preparation, analysis and distribution.
  • Partner with the Controller to standardize and improve accounting processes and procedures as the portfolio grows, identifying opportunities to streamline recurring workflows.
  • Support oversight of the AP and credit card programs alongside the Controller and AP Coordinator/Specialist, helping ensure invoices and card transactions are coded, posted, and paid accurately and on time.
  • Help build and maintain analytics and KPI reporting (aging, disbursements, expense trends, close timeliness) to give leadership clear visibility into financial performance.
  • Assist with corporate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and reporting support.
  • Support the integration of new property acquisitions into accounting systems and reporting processes.
  • Help evaluate and implement technology and automation opportunities across the accounting function, including AI-enabled tools, to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
  • Develop, maintain, and improve accounting procedures, documentation, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support ERP system enhancements, reporting improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Support Treasury activities, tax filings, regulatory compliance, and related financial requirements.
Accounting Manager requirements are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • CPA preferred

  • Experience with RealPage or similar property management accounting software.
