What You'll Own

• Full-Cycle Accounting Oversight: Manage day-to-day accounting for a group of multifamily entities, ensuring accurate transaction processing and financial integrity.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead monthly close, prepare financial statements, and deliver actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Team Leadership: Oversee a team of accountants; promote collaboration, and accountability.
• Process Optimization: Identify ways to streamline accounting systems and implement automation or efficiencies, especially in real estate-related workflows.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead internal and external audit prep, maintain compliance with GAAP and relevant property management standards.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or CPA a strong plus)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity
• Direct experience in real estate or property management accounting
• Strong command of GAAP and familiarity with real estate financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software (Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar) + Excel
• Strategic mindset and the ability to align accounting operations with broader business goals
