Job Details

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate has experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, as well as public accounting and SEC experience.

**This position is remote with the exception of 1 onsite visit per month in NYC**

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborating with the management team to understand and execute the organization's financial goals.
• Managing the preparation of SEC filings and oversight of all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and other financial regulations.
• Leading and coordinating the annual audit process with external auditors.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a large national accounting firm.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High proficiency in SEC reporting is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
