Manager, Accounting Advisory – Startup Companies – Remote

Advice Personnel is seeking a Manager, Accounting Advisory for startup companies. This fully remote role offers the chance to work with innovative, high-growth, venture-backed startups in the tech industry, collaborating closely with Founders, CFOs, and Controllers to address complex financial and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Lead financial and accounting operations for VC-backed startups, ensuring scalability and compliance.
2. Manage and mentor internal finance team members; serve as the primary client liaison.
3. Oversee core accounting functions such as AP, AR, and reconciliations, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
4. Partner with startup founders and CFOs to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.
5. Review and approve financial statements and prepare reports for clients.
6. Collaborate with Growth and Transaction Advisory teams on special projects involving financial analysis and business changes.
7. Establish and enforce accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.

Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. 6+ years of public or private accounting experience.
3. Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Salesforce is a plus.
4. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to problem solve and multitask.

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + discretionary bonus. Note that the total compensation may include benefits, equity, and other incentives.
