Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a senior accounting professional for an in-office role in Coral Gables, FL. You will assist with AP/AR, month-end close, financial analysis, and heavy account reconciliations, delivering timely reports to company leadership.

The ideal candidate has a BA in Accounting or Finance, 5–10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate in Spanish with overseas vendors. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–10+ years full-cycle accounting experience (AP/AR, reconciliations, year-end close, financial statements).
• Masters degree preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, v-lookups).
• Spanish language required for overseas vendor communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Month-End Close.
• Perform heavy account reconciliations and produce financial reports for leadership.
• Support P&L analysis and provide insightful financial analysis.
• Manage 3–4 direct reports within the Accounting Dept.

• Hands-on accounting/finance role assisting with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month-End Close, Financial Analysis, etc.

• Assist Controller and VP of Finance with P&L Analysis
• Assist in managing 3 to 4 direct reports within Accounting Dept.

Requirements

• BA in Accounting or Finance.
• Masters Degree preferred
• 5 to 10+ years accounting experience performing full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, Account Reconciliations, Year-End Close, Financial Statement prep, etc.)
• Advanced Excel experience (macros, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) preferred
• Ability to work 100% In-Office (Coral Gables) 5 days/week
