Job Title: Accounting Manager

Reports to: CFO

Job Summary:

McCrory Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and accounting functions for our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers and other team members.

This is a full-time, salaried position based in Columbia, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments
• Reconcile key accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
• Maintain payroll records, including timesheets and deductions, and reconcile payroll accounts
• Collaborate with project managers to oversee allocation of costs to projects
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an accounting role, preferably in the construction industry
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint Spectrum a plus)
• Experience with advanced functions in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
