Socket.dev is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and implementing procedures. You will manage month-end close, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, and assist with budgeting processes.
Responsibilities include leading staff, monitoring inventory-related financials, processing taxes, and coordinating with tax accountants. Strong knowledge of GAAP and ERP systems is required, with 2–5 years supervisory-level experience
The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting team in ensuring accuracy of financial statements, maintaining correct accounting records, and implementing accounting procedures. Manage the month end close process to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with implementing and managing the budget process.
Supervises accounting staff, which includes accounts receivable specialist, cost accountant, and accounting clerk. Train and mentor staff. Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Bachelor of Science degree in accounting; 2-5 years accounting experience. Supervisory experience is required. Cost accounting experience is preferred.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margin, financial ratios, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an elevated level of knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is necessary.
