The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong communication, organizational, and Excel skills. You will mentor staff and drive process improvements while collaborating with global subsidiaries.

• Mentor team members and support the Controller's Department.
• Evaluate and optimize close processes; drive automation and accuracy.
• Develop/enforce accounting policies and internal controls to reduce risk.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for year-end audits.
• Collaborate with other departments on close questions and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager for our Global Shared Services within our Corporate Accounting division. This position falls under our Finance line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will lead the responsibilities of the company’s Global Shared Services Accounting Department and manage close responsibilities with our global subsidiaries as well as work on key initiatives relating to critical processes. The ideal candidate should be motivated, self-starter, detailed-oriented, and strong in accounting concepts to have a willingness to learn and be a team player. You will report directly to the VP Assistant Corporate Controller and regularly collaborate with Corporate Accounting Shared Services.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close activities, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, inter‑company elimination and balancing process, expense accruals, prepaid amortization, lease accounting, fixed assets and account reconciliations in a high‑volume environment
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year‑end close in accordance with company policies and controls
• Review monthly and quarterly reporting analysis and other management reporting as assigned
• Mentor team members, projects and certain functions managed by the Controller's Department
• Continually evaluate and optimize month‑end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracy
• Develop/enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
• Partner with and liaison with other departments on resolving month‑end close questions and while working on strategic initiatives
• Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in accounting roles
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to be self‑directed and self‑motivated
• Ability to coordinate and work with business leaders in multiple locations
