Job summary

MidAtlantic Recruiters in Baltimore seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and provide timely financial reporting. The role requires hands-on leadership in a small-to-mid-size company with growth potential and a collaborative, laid-back culture.

You will own month-end close, manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, prepare statements for leadership, strengthen internal controls, support budgeting and cash flow, supervise 1-3 staff, and coordinate with our external CPA

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ year in a supervisory/manager role.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in a small or mid-size company.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or Sage Intacct and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll coordination.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages for leadership.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Supervise and develop 1-3 accounting staff.
• Partner with external CPA firm on tax and year-end support.

Looking for candidates with: At least 5+ years of progressive experience and 1+ year of experience as a Supervisor or Manager
