Job summary

We Search People is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting, project reporting, and financial compliance for active commercial and mixed-use developments in Central Texas. The role reports to the CFO and offers a clear path toward senior controller roles as the portfolio expands.

You will lead GL close, lender draw requests, and JV accounting while managing a team of project accountants, AP/AR, and payroll staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in commercial construction or real estate development.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting teams.
• Experience with ERPs for real estate/construction (Yardi, MRI, Sage).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, JV accounting structures, and draw management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day general ledger operations, month-end close, and financial statement prep.
• Oversee lender draw requests, capital calls, and JV waterfall accounting.
• Manage a team of Project Accountants, AP/AR, and payroll staff.

A prominent Real Estate Developer & General Contractor is looking for a driven Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting, project reporting, and financial compliance across active commercial and mixed-use buildouts.

This role sits directly under the CFO and offers a direct path toward an Assistant Controller or Controller position as the firm's portfolio expands across Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day general ledger operations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee lender draw requests, capital call management, and joint venture waterfall accounting.
• Manage a team of Project Accountants, AP/AR specialists, and payroll personnel.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and banking/bonding relationships alongside executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in commercial construction or real estate development.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing small-to-mid size accounting teams.
• Experience with real estate/construction ERPs such as Yardi, MRI, Sage 300 CRE, or Sage Intacct.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, joint venture accounting structures, and draw management.
