Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle responsibility.
• Experience across multiple entities, leases, bank accounts, and ownership structures.
• Highly organized, hands-on and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting from transaction entry through quarterly close for multiple real estate entities.
• Prepare daily consolidated cash reporting and manage interaccount transfers.
• Complete bank reconciliations across 40+ accounts and intercompany activity.
• Maintain monthly rent rolls and lender reporting; coordinate property information.
• Prepare quarterly owner reporting and distributions.
• Coordinate with CLA on tax returns and investor K-1s.
• Maintain entity ownership databases and streamline reporting processes.
• Process payroll for the office and handle routine admin accounting tasks.
• Communicate with tenants, owners, investors, banks, and service providers.
• Assist with property/maintenance coordination and IT-related support with provider.

Its portfolio includes approximately 500,000 square feet of industrial, retail, and residential properties. With a hands-on approach, the company remains closely involved with its properties, tenants, investors, and day-to-day operations.

The Opportunity

The Accounting Manager will serve as the senior accounting professional within the organization, owning the full accounting cycle across a multi-entity real estate portfolio. This is an individual-contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and taking ownership of the details while working directly with company leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Own day-to-day accounting from transaction entry through quarterly close for multiple real estate entities.
• Prepare daily consolidated cash reporting and manage transfers among operating and money market accounts.
• Complete bank reconciliations across 40+ accounts and maintain accurate intercompany activity.
• Maintain monthly rent rolls and prepare annual mortgage and lender reporting.
• Complete CAM reconciliations based on individual lease terms and supporting property information.
• Prepare quarterly owner reporting and distributions for the various entities.
• Coordinate with CLA on company tax returns, investor K-1s, and other required tax information.
• Maintain accounting records in Yardi Breeze and help streamline processes, files, and recurring reporting.
• Create and maintain an organized database of entity ownership, lease terms, and other key property information.
• Process payroll for the office and handle other routine administrative accounting needs.
• Communicate directly with tenants, owners, investors, banks, municipalities, and outside service providers.
• Assist with property or maintenance coordination when needed, including contacting vendors or occasionally meeting them at a property.
• Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for day-to-day IT needs, including network connectivity, printer issues, system access, and data security, while coordinating with a third-party IT provider when additional technical support is needed.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting.
• Experience working across multiple entities, leases, bank accounts, and ownership structures.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
