Job summary

Superior is seeking an Accounting Intern for the Spring 2027 term (January–April) at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The role offers exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, and year-end audit support under the leadership of the accounting team.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis, while participating in lunch-and-learns and leadership training as part of our comprehensive internship program.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing an accounting degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Interest in month-end close, financial reporting, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Record and verify financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Support year-end audit requests by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Help analyze and summarize financial statements and transactions.

Position: Accounting Intern

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring 2027 term (January – April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our accounting team, you’ll work alongside the accounting Managers and the Director of accounting, gaining exposure to various accounting functions including month -end closing, financial reporting, and year-end audit support. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the month -end close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
• Record and verify financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses
• Support year-end audit requests by providing necessary documentation and information
• Help analyze and summarize financial statements and transactions

Education

• Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
