Job summary

Ally invites students to join its Accounting Internship in Detroit, MI, a 11-week, in-person program with flexible work arrangements. You’ll engage with diverse teams across accounting, tax, and financial controls, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to Ally’s reporting and regulatory activities.

Selected interns strengthen technical accounting knowledge, communication skills, and industry understanding while contributing to meaningful projects and potential placements in several accounting

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree and entering your senior year, or pursuing a Master of Accounting during the internship.
• Rising juniors may also be considered.
• Interest in CPA certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to participate in the full internship program.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and financial reporting activities across Ally's business units and enterprise functions.
• Assist with tax, financial controls, and regulatory responsibilities as part of project work.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors on accounting processes.
• Gain exposure to various accounting areas and contribute to priority initiatives.
