Baltimore Aircoil Company is seeking an Accounting Intern to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across the Americas Finance organization. You will work with SAP and Excel, gaining exposure to GL accounting, AP/AR, and internal controls within a large private company.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with finance teams, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects. Ongoing training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong interest in corporate accounting and finance operations.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal-entry support, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations and research differences related to invoices, payments, foreign currency, royalties, commissions, and other transactions.
• Support the analysis and reconciliation of inbound and outbound freight, duties, tariffs, customs, brokerage, and other logistics-related expenses.
• Assist with freight accruals and monthly variance analysis by reviewing purchase orders, sales orders, goods receipts, invoices, and shipment information.
• Assist with internal SOX testing and organize complete, audit-ready supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audit requests by gathering invoices, approvals, reconciliations, and other financial records.
• Assist with fixed-asset inventory reviews, capital-project tracking, project closures, and reconciliations.
• Use SAP and Excel to prepare reports, analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and identify reconciling items.
• Help improve accounting processes, reports, reconciliations, and documentation to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in ad hoc process improvements and special projects as needed
