Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program provides exposure to the lumber industry, real-world projects, and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, data analysis for operations, and ad-hoc projects. Minimum qualifications: Sophomore pursuing an Accounting degree with a 3.0 GPA; proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a Sophomore actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Gaining corporate experience through on-the-job training and exposure to preparation of financial statements and process improvements.
• Assisting with the preparation, recording, and reviewing of journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end close processes.
• Gathering and analyzing data to provide insights for operations.
• Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc requests.
