Michigan Paving and Materials Company is seeking an Accounting and Finance Intern to explore multiple facets of the business related to accounting. The role involves supporting staff, assisting with data entry, and learning month-end closings while gaining exposure to projections and job costing.

The internship requires pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Working with company staff to determine solutions to common issues.
• Review and approve batches related to job costing.
• Gain exposure to the business through projection meetings.
• Managing our Accounting shared mailbox in Outlook.
• Provide clerical support and assist staff with data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
