Job summary

Michigan Paving and Materials Company is offering a Logistics Intern position to gain exposure to transportation and logistics management within a vertically integrated CRH company. You will work with the dispatch team and various sites, learning operational rules and procedures.

The internship emphasizes communication with customers, adherence to safety, and opportunities for development within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Ability to read English language sufficiently to read specifications, reports, manuals, and regulations.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external customers by email and telephone.
• Advise dispatch team of customer specialty needs.
• Participate in daily updates and reviews with Dispatch Team.
• Assist managers to support operations activities.
• Gather operational rules and regulations from each site and distribute to Carrier Fleet.
• Meet with key personnel at aggregate plants and other customer locations as needed.
