Job summary

Blue Cross Arena in Buffalo, NY seeks an Accounting Intern to provide administrative and basic accounting support on a seasonal, part-time basis. You will assist with journal entries, AR/AP tasks, data pulls, and research under supervision.

The role offers hands-on exposure to finance operations, development of professional skills through workshops, and mentorship opportunities during the 2026-2027 season. Daytime hours and on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year program, finance and accounting majors preferred
• Organized and detail oriented
• Available to work 2-3 days /week

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Department in completing day to day tasks, including the preparation of journal entry support, mail distribution, data pulling, and general research
• Provide support to AR and AP related needs, such as tracking incoming payments, sending invoices and payments, reviewing and analyzing vendor statements, etc.
• Assist with data analysis and validation projects
• Perform other projects as assigned
• Be accountable for work assigned and the timely completion of each assigned task
