Job summary

Pegula Sports and Entertainment is seeking an Accounting Intern to provide administrative and basic accounting support for various departmental tasks during the 2026-2027 season.

You will assist the Finance team with journal entries, AR/AP duties, data analysis, and ad hoc projects. This is a part-time, in-person internship based in Buffalo, with $16 per hour and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Finance with day-to-day tasks including journal entry support, mail distribution, data pulling and research.
• Provide support to AR and AP needs such as tracking payments, invoicing, reviewing vendor statements.
• Assist with data analysis and validation projects.
• Take on additional projects as assigned.

Summary

The Accounting Intern will provide administrative and basic accounting support for various departmental tasks and projects on a seasonal basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Finance Department in completing day to day tasks, including the preparation of journal entry support, mail distribution, data pulling, and general research.
• Provide support to AR and AP related needs, such as tracking incoming payments, sending invoices and payments, reviewing and analyzing vendor statements, etc.
• Assist with data analysis and validation projects
• Perform other projects as assigned
• Be accountable for work assigned and the timely completion of each assigned task.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

• Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year program, finance and accounting majors preferred

Compensation & Hours

This is a part-time in-person role, paying $16.00 per hour. Must have availability to work daytime hours. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 season.

Work Environment & Physical Demands.

This internship operates in both an office setting and in a live events setting. Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
