Michigan Paving and Materials offers an Accounting and Finance Intern position within a vertically integrated CRH company. You will explore multiple accounting areas and support staff on month-end closings and reconciliations.

Responsibilities include reviewing job cost batches, managing the shared mailbox, and assisting in data entry and projections. Candidates pursuing a degree in accounting gain practical experience in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree in accounting.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Working with company staff to determine solutions to common issues.
• Review and approve batches related to job costing.
• Gain exposure to the business through projection meetings.
• Managing our Accounting shared mailbox in Outlook.
• Provide clerical support and assist staff with data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
