Interns contribute to month-end closes, budgeting, and audits while building a well‑rounded understanding of financial systems and controls in a steel manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and month/quarter-end close activities.
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting tasks.
• Contribute to audits by validating compliance, inventory levels, and controls.
• Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with capital project accounting, fixed assets, and expense reporting.
• Collaborate with staff and operations to troubleshoot issues and provide insights.
• Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Handle all other duties as assigned.
