Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our corporate accounting team on a year-round basis in Louisville, KY. The role provides hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and the monthly close, while supporting audits and capital expenditure processes in Oracle Fusion.

You will work with Oracle Fusion, QuickBooks, and Xero, gaining exposure to GAAP and internal controls in a dynamic corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergrad or graduate program in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Completion of introductory accounting courses.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, QuickBooks, or Xero is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and support monthly accounting activities to ensure timely ledger close.
• Reconcile accounts and perform trend and completeness analysis.
• Assist with corporate balance sheet accounts and conduct analytical reviews.
• Help maintain digital and physical financial records.
• Research and respond to inquiries involving general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Monitor GAAP compliance and accounting policies.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets for internal use.
• Process capital expenditures in Oracle Fusion and review CERs.
