Arizona Public Service is seeking an Accounting Intern to contribute to financial analysis, account reconciliations, reporting and accounting projects. This paid, temporary internship offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting and mentorship within APS.

You will collaborate on cross‑functional teams, participate in regulatory and financial reporting, and develop practical data analytics skills while delivering meaningful work to APS leadership during a 10‑week summer program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited undergrad or graduate degree program in Accounting or related field.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work accurately with financial information.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate with professionals across multiple teams.
• Self-motivated learner eager to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to help support business decisions and organizational goals.
• Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial information is accurate and reliable.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting and financial reporting efforts that support APS operations.
• Develop practical skills in data analytics and artificial intelligence while applying them to real‑world accounting challenges.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional projects and deliver a final presentation to APS leadership.
