Perma-Seal Basement Systems in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role offers hands-on experience in daily accounting tasks and exposure to real business operations.

You will support AP/AR, invoicing, customer financing processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting while learning from experienced professionals. This position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate eager to grow practical skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles through coursework or experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial information.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Dependable, curious, and willing to ask questions, take initiative, and learn new things.
• No prior professional accounting experience required - we're happy to teach someone who's eager to learn!

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and recordkeeping.
• Assist with preparing customer invoices, job statements, and other financial documentation.
• Gain exposure to customer financing programs, including processing applications, tracking approvals, and maintaining related records.
• Assist with account reconciliations, payment verification, and researching discrepancies.
• Support data entry, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Help organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments to support daily operations and special projects.
• Learn additional accounting processes and take on more complex assignments as your knowledge and skills develop.

Perma-Seal Basement Systems is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, develop practical accounting skills, and learn how financial operations support a successful business.
