Job summary

Partnership Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking an accounting generalist to ensure accurate financial transaction recording across payroll, accounts payable, daily bank deposits, and grant invoicing.

The role supports the Chief Financial Officer and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and payroll experience is preferred. We are a not-for-profit providing medical, dental, and behavioral health services to underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Payroll experience preferred.
• Experience with general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable with invoices and coding to GL accounts and cost centers.
• Assist in payroll processing for over 150 employees.
• Prepare daily bank deposits for cash receipts to close the revenue cycle.
• Prepare journal entries for Controller review to keep GL up to date.
• Process incoming mail and batch checks for posting by AR Specialist.
• Assist with annual audits to clarify processes.
• Prepare grant funding invoices for reimbursements.
• Assist in month-end close and financial statement preparation for leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an accounting generalist for Partnership Community Health, your primarily responsible is to assure financial transactions are recorded accurately. Specific areas of responsibility are payroll, accounts payable, daily bank deposits, grant invoicing and other transactional accounting processes as deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Accountabilities

1. Processes accounts payable including documentation of all invoices and coding to the general ledger account and cost center to ensure expenses are assigned correctly.
2. Assists in the payroll process for our team of over 150 team members.
3. Prepares daily bank deposits for Medical and Dental cash receipts to close the loop on the revenue cycle.
4. Prepares journal entries to be reviewed by Controller to keep the general ledger up to date.
5. Processes incoming mail, including batching checks to be posted by Accounts Receivable Specialist.
6. Assists with annual audit as needed to provide clarity around processes.
7. Prepares grant funding invoices to be submitted to funding sources to secure reimbursement for approved expenses.
8. Assists in month-end close and financial statement preparation to provide timely financial metrics to PCHC leadership.
9. Other duties as assigned.
