What You'll Do & Bring
As an Accountant, you'll serve as key financial partner, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the business with timely, insightful financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records by recording financial transactions in the general ledger and appropriate subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries, including revenue and expense accruals, reclassifications, and other adjusting entries.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations, research reconciling items, and resolve discrepancies timely.
- Perform bank and cash account reconciliations and ensure cash receipts, deposits, and disbursements are accurately recorded.
- Provide accounting support for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including transaction review, payment processing, cash application, and follow-up on outstanding items.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports, schedules, and analyses for management and other stakeholders.
- Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, appropriate coding, and adequate supporting documentation.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, account schedules, and other accounting records in an organized and audit-ready manner.
What You Bring:
- Associate Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required)
- Any relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software (MIP experience preferred), and general ledger systems
Preferred:
- Working knowledge and experience with MIP and Quickbooks
- Experience working with multi-entity accounting structures
