Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in governmental accounting, auditing or financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.
• Understanding of public school finance and related school law.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the District's accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare, review, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger, grant, and investment records.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting deadlines.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, revenues, expenditures, and fund balances.
• Assist in preparing ACFR, ASBR, and other financial submissions.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to audit requests.
• Develop and monitor internal accounting controls and procurement compliance.
• Provide leadership and mentoring within the Finance Department.
