Job summary

Riverview Gardens School District in Missouri is seeking an Accounting Manager with strong technical, leadership and communication skills to oversee the district's accounting functions and ensure GAAP compliance.

The role reports to the CFO, manages monthly and annual closes, budgeting, audits and internal controls, and collaborates with principals, HR, IT and school administrators to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience, including supervisory, in governmental accounting, auditing or financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and understanding of public school finance and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the District's accounting functions in line with GAAP, GASB, and district policies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for stakeholders.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
