Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience, including supervisory, in governmental accounting, auditing or financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of public school finance and related school law.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the District's accounting functions in GAAP and GASB compliance.
• Prepare, review, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank, GL, investment, grant, and other accounts.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with deadlines.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, revenues, expenditures, and fund balances, with recommendations for stability.
• Assist in preparing ACFR, ASBR, and other financial submissions.
