A leading engineering and consulting firm is seeking an Accounting Director, poised to transition into the CFO role after the current CFO retires. CCI is seeking a strategic and operational leader to join our team as the Accounting Director, and ultimately as the CFO, to aid CCI in continued successful growth and financial stability.
Position Summary
The Accounting Director, and ultimately as the CFO, will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of CCI. This position is being hired to fill the CFO role after the current CFO retires in the near future.
The position involves being strategic as well as requires a detailed and thoughtful approach to accomplishing day-to-day tactical needs of the company. One of the exciting aspects of this position is the opportunity to work daily with all levels of the organization while accomplishing a variety of goals.
Reporting to the CFO and President, and working directly with the CCI Principals, the responsibilities of the Accounting Director / future CFO are as follows:
Strategic Vision and Initiatives - Play a leadership role in developing strategic vision and accomplishing company initiatives. This includes the implementation of strategies designed to drive profitability and growth. Expected to provide financial insights and recommendations to the ownership team.
Reporting - Develop, prepare, review, and analyze company data to provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reporting. Responsible for the review and accuracy of information distributed by the CCI accounting group (Controller, Accounting Manager, and Project Accountants).
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Flow Management - Develop, prepare, review, and analyze data and reports to accurately budget / forecast revenues, expenses, profits and other key metrics at division and company level.
Insurance - Responsible for the annual company insurance renewals (application and liaison with company brokers) and be CCI's subject matter expert.
Compliance - Assist in ensuring compliance with 401k regulations, tax laws (an outside company prepares the tax returns), government contracting standards, internal practices, and procedures, etc. Responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle.
Leadership - Lead, mentor, and continue to develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
