Job description

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a Director of Finance & Accounting, preferably with manufacturing / distribution industry experience.

This is a Remote position, but candidate must live in Nebraska or Florida.

The Director of Finance and Accounting will direct and oversee the financial activities of the partnership, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
• Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Reviews process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization or new system implementation
• Works with the Parent company, as liaison for all reporting and variance analysis requests
• HR/Payroll/Pension benefits internal audits, and preparation of management reports required
• All state compliance, annual reports, sales tax, and state reporting nexus requirements, as well as Partnership tax filing oversight.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, or Finance required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation highly desired. Tax experience is required- (including state and partnership tax).
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.

Target Compensation is between $120,000-$150,000.
