Base pay range

$175,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting for a fully remote role. This is an exciting opportunity with a $100M+ public traded Life-Sciences company. The SEC & Technical Accounting Director reports into the CFO and is responsible for ownership of the SEC process, in addition to technical accounting oversight.

Highlights of this company/role include ability to own the SEC process, being the technical accounting SME, interacting with the audit committee, strong bonus package and compensation, and is a fully remote role.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing/owning the SEC process, including the annual report and 10Q/10K fillings
• Act as SME on various technical/GAAP accounting issues, including drafting technical memo's, M&A accounting, Revenue Recognition, SOX controls, stock-based compensation, and complex transactions
• Partner across various teams including investor relations, FP&A, internal auditors and legal
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards
• Assist with due diligence on potential acquisitions and with the integration process of acquired companies
• Assist with the yearly and quarterly audit process
• Perform technical accounting research

Requirements

• Looking for candidates with 8+ years of experience, with both SEC Reporting and technical accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and FASB technical pronouncements.
• CPA preferred
• Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
• Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of M&A and associated complex transactions
• Strong skills and experience with Word, Outlook, Excel.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
