The Accounting Director plays an important role in supporting corporate objectives while helping strengthen systems, processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.
As Accounting Director, you will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight of complex accounting matters. You will guide monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting activities; advise on U.S. GAAP reporting requirements; partner with business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis; and lead accounting assessments for significant transactions. You will also coach the Accounting team, collaborate across subsidiaries, and communicate financial insights to senior leaders and Tokyo Gas Headquarters.
This is a full‑time, local‑hire position based in Houston, Texas. A hybrid work option is available subject to business needs. The role works across a multicultural, global corporate environment and requires effective collaboration with stakeholders in the U.S. and Japan.
Competitive base salary ranging from $190,000 to $225,000, based on qualifications, experience, and market considerations. This position is also eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k), medical, dental and vision insurance, short‑term disability, life insurance, education assistance, paid time off, company holidays, and a hybrid work option subject to business needs.
