Job summary

Top-Us seeks an Accounting Director to lead financial reporting, closing cycles, and cost analyses from Houston HQ. You will partner with business leaders and the Tokyo HQ to align accounting practices with US GAAP, while guiding audits and internal controls.

You will drive management reporting, provide insights to senior leadership, and oversee joint ventures, acquisitions, and investments. The role offers a hybrid work model in Houston with a competitive salary and DOE considerations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA license required.
• 7+ years of management experience.
• SAP or similar ERP/consolidation system experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses.
• Oversee closing processes monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Provide leadership regarding accounting matters and partner with business leaders in Tokyo HQ.
• Communicate accounting matters and financial business insights to internal stakeholders.
• Lead audit processes and manage partnerships with external partners.
• Assess risks and develop solutions regarding complex accounting issues.
• Lead accounting assessments for Joint ventures, acquisitions and company investments.
• Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
• Participate in BPR, system implementation, and finance process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and HQ.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects.
