Job summary

Altais Health Solutions is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead month-end close, reconciliations, and detailed financial reporting. You will own journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness across close processes.

The role emphasizes analytical problem-solving, strong Excel proficiency, US GAAP expertise, and collaboration with auditors and IT to implement sustainable improvements and accurate financial reporting for California

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Requires 5 years of prior accounting experience in tax, accounting or financial analytics.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and applying accounting guidance to journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain accounting matters across the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare close-related reports and analyses to explain activity, trends, fluctuations, and discrepancies.
• Prepare internal reporting packages, monthly results analyses, regulatory filings, and schedules.
• Research discrepancies and complex accounting issues; prepare correcting entries as needed.
• Provide auditors with schedules, documentation, and responses for year-end audits.
• Support process improvements and collaborate with IT to resolve data integrity issues.
• Assist with strategic projects and cross-department accounting needs.
